In circulation since 1824, The Advertiser Democrat serves “18 towns in the Greater Oxford Hills region of western Maine”, according to its website. It is a weekly newspaper published every Thursday from its editorial/advertising offices in Norway, Maine. The newspaper, though, is printed in Lewiston. According to the New England and Press Association, it has a circulation of 4,924 every week. The publication is owned by the Sun Media Group, which owns other 5 papers in the US. The Advertiser Democrat won the George Polk Award for Journalism in 2012 and has also been a finalist of the Pulitzer prize of this same year.
