Title
Nevada - The Nevada Appeal
Subject
The Nevada Appeal, originally named the Carson Daily Appeal, came to fruition on May 16, 1865 under owners E.F. McElwin, Marshall Robinson and J. Barrett, according to the paper’s website. At 150 years old, the Appeal is Carson City’s longest continuously operating business, also according to its website. Records from the Library of Congress show that the Appeal prints every day out of the week excluding Saturdays.
The Appeal is currently owned by Swift Communications, a Nevada-based media company that boasts ownership of publications in six different states (California, Nevada, Oregon, Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota) as well as four national publications, according to their website.
